Taman Safari Indonesia (TSI) Cisarua, Bogor Regency, West Java won the ASEAN Green Hotel Award at the ASEAN Tourism Forum (ATF) 2024 which took place in Vientiane, Laos.
TSI Chief Operating Officer (COO) Adrian Cecil, in Bogor, Thursday, explained that the award received on Friday, January 29, 2024 established Safari Resort at Taman Safari Bogor as the hotel in Indonesia with the most environmentally friendly concept.
“Of course this will be a new spirit for us to provide the best for visitors, especially domestic and foreign people who visit Safari Resort at Taman Safari Bogor,” Adrian said.
TSI Vice President Media and Event Alexander Zulkarnain emphasized that this award is proof of Taman Safari Indonesia Group’s commitment to environmental sustainability and harmony between nature, humans and animals.
“Once again, we are very grateful for this award. Especially to Kemenparekraf RI,” Alex emphasized.
The Indonesian Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy (Kemenparekraf) announced a number of Indonesian hotels, cities and tourist destinations won 14 ASEAN tourism awards in Laos.
“We are pleased that several hotels have been awarded by the Lao government in five categories,” said Tourism and Creative Economy Minister Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno.
At the ASEAN Tourism Forum (ATF) 2024 in Vientiane, Laos, the hotels won four prestigious categories: ASEAN Sustainable Tourism Award, ASEAN Clean Tourist City Award, ASEAN Green Hotel Award, and ASEAN MICE Venue. The awards were handed over by the Lao Government just before the closing ceremony of the forum.
The winners of the ASEAN Sustainable Tourism Award were Ubud Gastronomi in Bali in the rural category, and Singkong Village in Salatiga, Central Java in the urban category.
Surabaya in East Java and Balikpapan in East Kalimantan won the ASEAN Clean Tourism City award.
Meanwhile, the ASEAN Green Hotel Award went to Safari Resort Taman Safari Bogor in Cisarua, Bogor, West Java; Nihi Sumba in East Nusa Tenggara; 101 Bali Fontana in Seminyak, Bali; Capella Ubud in Bali; and Plataran Menjangan in Bali.
The ASEAN MICE Venue Award went to JW Marriott Hotel in Jakarta (Dua Mutiara Ballroom), Ritz Carlton Hotel in Jakarta (The Ritz-Carlton Grand Ballroom), and El Royale Hotel in Bandung (The AmartaPura Grand Ballroom), with all winning in the “meeting room” category.
Jakarta International Expo Kemayoran (Halls A, B, C, D, B3, C3) won in the exhibition venue category, and Jakarta Convention Center won in the event venue category.
